Thanks to the instructions of Ms. Brown, I was able to search the articles through the Georgia Tech Library Website for anything relating to urban sprawl. I wanted to find something that was written about the direct effects of urban sprawl on the surrounding environment. This article published in The West Australian illuminates the common problem of sprawl on the existing animal and plant life of a particular area. It references Jane Goodall and stories she had heard about lizards crossing five lanes of traffic which used to be their home plush with plant life. This is obviously a problem that occurs wherever sprawl happens, and I believe it is one of the problems that Suburban Nation does not capitalize on sufficiently. This aspect of destruction by sprawl should be much more publicized.
